Minho (real name Choi Minho, 29) of boy group SHINee, who is serving in the military, will forgo his last vacation before he is discharged and participate in the Marine Corps training.
On October 21, the Marine Corps officially announced on their official Instagram that Minho, a sergeant of the Marine Corps' 1st Division's Rapid Movement Unit, will complete his national defense duty on November 15. The idol would be discharged on October 27 if he used a 20-day vacation to leave early, but he decided to stay to give his successors know-how in training and personal tactical warfare.
The Marine Corps said, "Choi joined the Marine Corps at a relatively late age in April last year due to his celebrity activities, but he was a Marine who not only actively participated in various training and operations, but also was praised by the military for his exemplary military life and his unique sincerity and bright personality," adding, "Marine Choi is happy to have a successful ending. We will support him until the day he is discharged from the military."
So, Shawols, let's wait a little longer for our talented leader to come back!

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, soldiers these days can use an average of one month's off-duty leave to go home without returning to the unit.
But among my comrades in the army, there's a Marine who's forgone his leave before being discharged from the military to have his last training.
The main character is Sergeant Choi Minho on duty at the Marine Corps' 1st Division's Rapid Movement Unit.
As scheduled, on October 27, he could go home after taking a leave of absence before his discharge. But he decided to give up his 20 days of pre-military leave to train and transfer his know-how on personal tactical warfare to his juniors, and will complete his military duty on November 15.
