Recently, choreographer Choi Young Joon opened up in an interview, in which he sincerely expressed his thought towards two iconic main dancers of EXO and BLACKPINK - Kai and Lisa.
Both EXO Kai and BLACKPINK Lisa have been known for stunning dancing skills and explosive stage presence whenever they get on stage. They are even praised as excellent performers, not just typical idols.
Choi Youngjoon is a renowned choreographer in the K-pop community. He started to dance when he was younger by performing on music shows as a backup dancer and then working as a live DJ at night.
Interviewer: "You said that out of all K-pop artists, Kai was the best. Is there a specific reason?"
Choi Youngjoon: "There are actually teo people, it's EXO Kai and BLACKPINK Lisa. Most K-pop groups have a member that is good at dancing... but if I had to choose the best in the industry, it would be Kai and Lisa".
"If Kai was a choreographer or a dancer instead of being a K-Pop artist, no other person would be able to compare. I felt relieved that we are working in different fields. He's a literal genius. And it isn't only me who thinks this way, I'm sure everyone who has worked with Kai thinks so."
EXO Kai is the main dancer and also center of the group 12 members, so he has to have an outstanding aura. It is said that there are two different people inside Kai: one is the bright and smiley, sometimes dorky Jongin, and the other is Kai - who is full of charisma and attractiveness, with the power to capture anyone's eyes right at the first sight when you notice EXO.

He then went on clarifying his thoughts by expressing his admiration and appreciation towards the main dancer of BLACKPINK.
"Lisa is also a good dancer for a similar reason (to Kai)."
"I recently choreographed "Good Thing" for her concert. In the beginning, the dance starts with the concept of her at a fancy restaurant, seated and calling a waiter with a glass of wine. When she dances, she's literally at the restaurant."
"She already had ordered and had a drink. It's really hard to explain with words (only people who have seen it for themselves will understand) she's so mind-blowingly good that it's hard to say. When I coach people, it usually goes like "if there were 2 dance moves right now, put 2 more in and twist your body in a more complicated way."
"Lisa understands what I'm saying and delivers. Kai and Lisa, they are good in all genres. Jazz, hip-hop, no matter what it is." - he jumped to the conclusion.
BLACKPINK is getting more and more recognition day by day and they're slowing reaching the title of a world-famous girl group. People say that there was no other perfect combination of 4 girls - all talented and gorgeous if very different way but when combining, they become much more powerful like them again, or must be in a long time. Although each one is responsible for a specific position, they could do well under other roles, too. And we have the main dancer - Lisa - who is considered as one of the most outstanding idols with the best stage presence, charisma, and dance skills.

Every year, a lot of new groups debut with different styles and concepts. Some make it the long road, some have to put aside their idol dream. Other young and talented generations may appear and shine in their way but there'll be no one could reach the aura and standards that Kai and Lisa have set.
