Katy Perry was left heartbroken after her cat Kitty Purry died. The singer, 35, took to Instagram early Sunday to share the devastating news to her 94 million followers and paid tribute to her puss of 15 years with some adorable pictures.
In one of the pictures, Perry looked stunning as ever in a peach polka-dot dress and red lip as she kissed her cat, while the other she shared was of the pair having a chat on FaceTime.
She captioned the post: “Kitty Purry crawled through my then-boyfriend’s window 15 years ago, fully pregnant and seeking shelter. Two litters and many moons later, this street cat became a lovable mascot to many.”
“Sadly, Kitty completed her 9th life last night. I hope she rests in salmon fillets and tuna tartare way up in catnip heaven. Kitty, thanks for the cuddles and companionship along the way.”
However, it’s not all sad news for the “Firework” singer, who last month announced that she’s pregnant with her first child.
Perry revealed the happy news minutes after appearing clearly pregnant in music video “Never Worn White,” joking that she no longer has to hide her burgeoning bump.
The video featured her cradling what looked like a baby bump in a white dress, before the final shot left fans in no doubt that the singer was expecting her first child — as she stood sideways on wearing only a sheer gown.
She tweeted: “Omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore… or carry around a big purse lol.” This is the “Hot N Cold” songstress’ first child with her 43-year-old fiancé, Orlando Bloom. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor is already father to son Flynn, 9, with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
