Being a mother of kids is a huge thing for everyone, so it is totally understandable for Ellie Goulding when she admitted not ready to have kids with husband Caspar Jopling.
The Love me like you do singer has just shown her thoughts on growing a family in hew new interview: "I want to have kids but it’s not the be all and end all. I am so happy right now and I want to have kids later but it’s not encouraged to wait."
Ellie and her husband, an art dealer Caspar Jopling, married last August at York Minster.
She then went on explaining her plan to focus on picking her career back up once the coronavirus pandemic improves.
Ellie told: "There are a lot of blogs, podcasts and things about being a mum or about a mum’s life, which I totally appreciate because it must be good to know you are in the same position as other mums. I want to know about women who are in the same spot as me."
"I’ve got a career and, when coronavirus is over, I will embark on touring. It would be good to have like-minded women who are in the same position and want kids later in life or not at all. I’d love to hear a podcast on that — maybe I’ll start my own."
The singer shared that just 2 months after the wedding, she had been asked on when she's going to be a mother in a 'Ask Me Anything' section in Instagram Stories. The amounts of questions about this issue were too many that even made her 'sick'.
A fan of her asked: "Do you think of having baby(ies) any time soon? (the world need two of you)"
She then replied: "Not particularly [grimace emoji]. As you can imagine it's been a non stop question."
"I hate being made to feel like that's what I'm supposed to be doing on this earth. I guess technically I am. But I see things differently in today's world."
Before marrying Caspar, Ellie Goulding had a series of high-profile romances including dating Niall Horan, Radio 1 DJ Greg James, actor Jeremy Irvine, DJ Skrillex and McFly bassist Dougie Poynter.
