Ben Affleck confirmed to be starring as Batman in “The Flash” – the independent movie of the high-speed superhero of DCEU.

In the latest interview with Vanity Fair magazine, filmmaker Andy Muschietti revealed that Ben Affleck had just received his script The Flash and accepted the role of Batman in the film. The Flash is a project on the speed superhero of the same name played by Ezra Miller in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).

Ben Affleck will take on the role of Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016) and Justice League (2017). However, the series has been criticized for its content. In addition to a private life scandal related to alcoholism, Affleck decided to part with the role of the most famous DC comic superhero in 2018.

In fact, Warner Bros. and DC soon found a replacement for Ben Affleck. In The Batman – the movie about the superhero of Gotham city, Robert Pattinson takes on the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Initially, Affleck planned to simultaneously assume the role of director, screenwriter and the lead role of the project.

The Flash contains elements of time travel when the character Barry Allen set foot in many different timelines. Before Affleck, Michael Keaton has confirmed his return to the role of Batman. He was a star in two films directed by Tim Burton Batman in 1989 and 1992.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Andy Muschietti commented: “Ben Affleck’s Batman image is very memorable. His muscles, face, and charisma have both a masculine beauty and a hint of fragility. The character needs an appropriate story to highlight that opposition ”.
