Chris Hemsworth has starred in a slew of blockbuster films throughout his esteemed career. And his latest film Extraction is 'well on its way to becoming the biggest film premiere on Netflix'.
The Australian actor, 36, shared a photo of his character - Tyler Rake - from the action flick.
Above the image, the caption reads: 'Extraction is well on its way to becoming the biggest film premiere on Netflix - with an estimated 90 million households getting in on the action in the first four weeks.'
A very proud Chris wrote in the caption of his Instagram post: 'We are absolutely blown away by the response this film has been getting!
He thanked his fans who watched the movie and encouraged others to watch it.
It follows his character Tyler Rake, a former SASR operator-turned-mercenary.
He is hired by India's biggest drug lord to rescue his son who is being held at ransom in Dhaka by Bangladesh's biggest drug lord.
The film is based on the graphic novel by Ciudad by Ande Parks, Fernando Leon Gonzalez, and Eric Skillman, as well as Marvel film producers Joe and Anthony Russo, who also produced the film.
The release of Chris' latest film comes after radio host Jackie 'O' Henderson to the Hollywood actor that the production of his new Marvel film - Thor: Love and Thunder - had interrupted her schedule.
Jackie said: 'You see, I'm doing a TV show called The Masked Singer and I've been kicked out of there and I've got to go to Melbourne now to film!'
'Did we steal your studio?' Chris asked innocently.
Jackie added: 'I believe that Thor has booked out the whole of the studios for the year. So we're all up s**t creek.'
'It was supposed to be August I think we were shooting,' Chris explained politely.
'And then everything, as you know, is on pause [due to coronavirus] so you might have a window. I don't what happens to our schedule now.'
