The hashtag #TreatLisaBetter is rising and gaining more attention than ever when fans call out YG for mistreating the idol, with lots of strict rules that only apply on Lisa.

Recently, the hashtag #TreatLisabetter is passing thousands of tweets and continuing gaining the attention of fans all over the world. YG entertainment is accused of mistreating Lisa - one Thai member in BLACKPINK. As BLACKPINK is considered one of the most famous K-Pop girl groups at present which leads to the unlimited fame of Lisa, these acts of YG towards her are causing controversial opinions and anger.

This is not the first time YG receives accusations of unfair treatment towards Lisa. Rumors flying that there are strict rules created and applied for only Lisa - the first foreign member of YG.

However, this time seems to be the flowing drop of the glass while these photos are spreading rapidly on Twitter.

First, Lisa had a cover shoot for Harper Bazaar. Things were fine back then, and this Instagram account also posted the gratitude of having the chance to work with Harper and Lisa. Not too long later, fans found out that during the shooting time, Lisa wasn't allowed to take photos or have a solo interview with the famous magazine.

According to the producer, it was so difficult for Harper Bazaar to do the magazine with Lisa because there's a lot of restrictions and limits set by YG.

Things went more intense when it was said that someone even asked the producer to get a full Thai team next time but YG didn't allow it.

Second, Lisa won the title as "Person of the year" by THE STANDARD - a well-known news company in Thailand. Turns out, there were no photos or updates about these achievements of Lisa.

Wonder why? Fans do too. So they decide to ask THE STANDARD for that. In reply, THE STANDARD shared:

"THE STANDARD awarded the prize for Person of the Year to Lisa when BLACKPINK performed a concert in Thailand. However, there were no photographs taken or video recording as it is against the rules of her record label."

And the third matter was about AIS - the mobile operator of Thailand. AIS announced that Lisa will only send her greeting video in the new year event in 2021 of the company. Fans were angry as the full line-up will appear at the party but Lisa is the only one sending a video, although this is an ONLINE event.

Back to 2019, Lisa was the only one who didn't show up on the red carpet, no meeting or performing like other artists. The BLACKPINK main dancer only appeared to give stuffed toys to fans, then came to the backstage immediately. Just until the last minute of the event, Lisa had a chance to interview on her own.

That happened when the pandemic hadn't shown up so there were no excuses for YG not letting her attending the show properly. Fans were angry because she flew all the way to Thailand but wasn't allowed to walk on the red carpet or meeting with other artists. Bambam - a member of GOT7 who also appeared in this event still had a chance to attend with everyone else.

All of these controversial issues raise the anger of BLINKs as they state that YG is showing discrimination towards Lisa since she's not Korean. More than that, YG is accused of disrespecting Thailand when abandoning her having proper promotions and activities in her hometown. Meanwhile, Lisa's fanbase in Thai is huge and willing to pay unconditionally just because of Lisa. There are more concerts in Thai, compared to Korea. Fan meetings held in Korea are filled with Thai fans. But every promotion of Lisa in Thai will meet unexpected difficulties. Even when Lisa was invited for a cover shoot, the magazine had to wait for half of a year for a "Yes" from YG.

Fans continuing stating that in order to have Lisa, AIS spent a huge contract fee of $1.4 million for YG. This is also the highest-paid fee for a contract in the history of AIS, but still, no meeting with Lisa was allowed.

In speaking of THE STANDARD, they had to come to the concert after BLACKPINK performed so they could take photos and interview her, but YG kept saying no while THE STANDARD is a big award with a high reputation in Thailand.

With all of these accusations, BLINKs are demanding YG for a clear explanation and better treatment towards Lisa.

On the other hand, fans are divided into two categories as fans "ask for better treat" and fans "think it is normal". The second part are also giving facts that Blinks are acting like a child.

What do you think about all of these? Are Lisa's overreacting or YG really need to work and protect their artists properly?
