Nam Joo Hyuk showed an irreplaceable charm with a calm and soft atmosphere that captures women's hearts in the latest pictorial with AtStar1 magazine.
In a short interview with the magazine, Nam Joo Hyuk talked about the drama 'Start-Up', which ended. He said, "It's always been a scene full of laughter, so I think it's going to be memorable," adding, "I think the good chemistry of the actual scene is on the air. There are many actors so I always shared opinions and finished the work in a warm atmosphere."
Nam Joo Hyuk, who played Nam Do San in the drama, an left-brained engineering student who doesn't know how to express his emotion, said, "I'm actually close to the opposite - I'm a right-brained human who likes communication and empathy." But he also pointed out that he resembles Nam Do San's character who goes forward without hesitation by saying, "However, I felt a lot of empathy for Do San's courage to do everything."
Nam Joo Hyuk, who has been consistently active this year with various works, explained about his role Hong In Pyo in Netflix's original series 'The School Nurse Files' that, “There haven't been many opportunities for me to make external changes, but this character helped quench that thirst.” He also expressed his desire to continue to show new sides as an actor by saying, "I hope there will be opportunities to play such diverse roles in the future."
As for the movie 'Josée', which will show his second meeting with actress Han Ji Min, he shared, "I felt a lot of pressure and worry about remakes, but I was curious about how 'Josée' made by director Kim Jong Kwan would feel, and I wanted to be a part of the film." Asked if he wanted to surpass the original film, he said, "If I had been that greedy, I would have done nothing," adding, "All I could think about was the need to incorporate the character Young Seok into the work."
When asked about the opportunity for change and growth for him, who debuted as a model and has already been an actor for seven years, he replied, "It's all thanks to the e-mail my mother wrote me when I was a basketball player." He said, "Even when I started anew as an actor, I made up my mind by looking at my mother's e-mail again, and whenever I was tired, it cheered me up," citing her love and support as the driving force behind his growth.
