It is reported that the young star of Netflix's hit movies "The Kissing Booth" may star alongside Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt in the action-thriller Bullet Train by Sony Pictures.
The director of Hobbs & Shaw, David Leitch will also be responsible for the movie's script as the will be the supervisor, which will be written by Zak Olkewicz.
The film has been moving on a lightning speed since Leitch and Pitt tied a close bond and made a first film together after winning his first Oscar for acting in Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood. Fall is expected to be the appropriate time for the movie to start shooting in Los Angeles.
"Bullet Train" is based on a Japanese novel named "Maria Beetle" by the best-selling author Kotaro Isaka. Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada of CTB Inc., who represent Isaka and the IP, are the executive producers for the project.
Sony Pictures recently announced that the studio is developing the famous One Punch Man, which also based on a Japanese manga. Therefore, the potential for the movie to have a franchise is highly expected.
According to sources, Joey King will play one of four leads opposite Pitt; the actress is believed to be the only woman in the group. This would be King’s most action-heavy part she ever played, giving her the chance leading to more roles in films like it in the future. This could totally happen in the way that "The Edge of Tomorrow"' did for Emily Blunt and "Iron Man 2" did for Scarlett Johansson.
Joey King has been busy after Netflix premiered the second part of her smash hit romantic comedy, The Kissing Booth 2, as well as confirming attending a third film, which is already shot with King as the lead role.
She is also coming off her Emmy-nominated role of Gypsy in Hulu’s limited series The Act and more than that, the actress will also become one of the producers for the Hulu series.
