Travis Scott currently quarantining amid the coronavirus pandemic with his former partner Kylie Jenner and their daughter Stormi.
But in 2015, Travis Scott was rumored to be paired up with Rihanna and hoping to keep their budding romance private, it has been claimed.
Lawrence Schlossman, co-host of the menswear podcast Throwing Fits, claimed in an episode earlier this week that the 28-year-old rapper was mad for years after he asked him about his relationship with Rihanna in a cover story interview for Complex.
Schlossman recalled his story about Travis to his co-host James Harris and their guest, journalist Jonah Weiner, while the three revealed celebrities who hated what they wrote about them. "I broke the news about him and Rihanna, which they told me not to do," said the former Complex editor.
"Apparently, what [Complex editor Joe] LaPuma, our boy Joe The Puma, told me was that it hurt Complex’s relationship with Travis. This was in 2015/16 I wrote this. But apparently, for the next couple of years, he would complain about that."
Though Travis was upset about the relationship going on the record, Schlossman theorized that it was another party pulling the strings.
"It’s not because he’s like, Don’t tell anyone I’m smashing Rihanna. It's because Rihanna's like, Don’t tell anyone that I’m smashing Travis Scott, please. [It's] obviously embarrassing as f***," he said.
At the time, Schlossman wrote that the Sicko Mode rapper was unwilling to label his relationship with Rihanna, though he was willing to describe her as his 'muse' when pressed.
Earlier in 2015, Travis had collaborated with Rihanna on her song B**** Better Have My Money, and by September they were spotted spending nights out on the town and hooking up. By 2017, the Goosebumps rapper had moved on to a relationship with reality star Kylie Jenner, 22.
In 2018, they welcomed a daughter, Stormi Webster, two, though the relationship would fizzle out by the fall out 2019. Since then, they've been co-parenting Stormi together while quarantining with Kylie's mother Kris Jenner in Palm Springs.
