When songs are not just songs, but a message sent to someone. That could be true when the song Fun Tonight of Lady Gaga was called out that it might be a dragging song about her ex-fiance.
Her latest album, Chromatica was released on May 29, includes 20 tracks. These songs are her personal thoughts and expressions about what she has been through with relationships, faiths, love and self-experience for a long time.
One outstanding track was pointed out by her fans is “Fun Tonight”. She stated that Fun Tonight is about a mindset which leads to a negative mind-set and prevents her true self from being optimistic.
“I can't see straight, I can't see me
There's too much hurt caught in between
Wish I could be what I know I am
This moment's hijacked my plans”
Her fans - called Little Monsters claimed that Fun Tonight are likely what shows her expressions for Christian Carino - her ex-fiance. Christian and Lady Gaga started dating back in the beginning of 2017. Soon after they got engaged in the fall of 2018 but ending up their love story just a few months later, in February, 2019.
In an interview for Apple Music with Zane Lowe, she neither admits the song was truly dedicated to Christian nor deny. “[“Fun Tonight”] means a lot to me, and every time I listened to it, I get choked up because I can’t tell you how any nights that people that really love me were trying to get me to smile or laugh or be optimistic, and I just had no ability to be happy”, she said.
But to those who love this talented singer, song-composer, that rough times have been washed away. Lady Gaga is finally happy again with Michael Polansky - a tech entrepreneur earlier this year.
Let's wish all the best to Lady Gaga, both with her love story and her album’s success!
