It has been nearly a year since Cardi B graced the airwaves with new music of her own. But during an Instagram Live chat on Saturday evening, the 27-year-old rapper sent her fans into a total frenzy when she confirmed that a brand new single would be coming their way ''very soon.''
''My single is coming very, very soon, okay guys," admitted Cardi excitedly, while flailing around in a blue color block wig. She added jokingly: "My single is coming when I lose weight. Never!". "Nah, it's coming real soon, I swear. And y'all gon' love it," insisted Cardi.
The Press rapper had her assets on full display in a slinky, green bikini top with gold hardware as she jovially live streamed in lockdown. She rocked a full face of glam makeup, which included a dramatic winged liner, large faux lashes, flawless contouring, and a matte nude lip.
Cardi B concealed her bottom half with a lime green, see-through swim wrap that allowed her matching green bikini bottom to peek out.
She sported a giant silver ring on her wedding finger and adorned her earlobes with a pair of gold hoop earrings. Cardi B's debut album Invasion Of Privacy earned her a Grammy in 2019 for Best Rap Album and became the most streamed female rap album of all time in December.
Invasion Of Privacy dropped in April of 2018 after her groundbreaking rap track Bodak Yellow blew up on the Billboard charts.
The critically acclaimed album featured the likes of Chance The Rapper, Migos, SZA, and Latin music heavy-weights Bad Bunny and J Balvin. In March, Invasion Of Privacy because the first debut female rap album to remain on the Billboard Hot 200 for 100 straight weeks.
Since the success of Invasion Of Privacy, Cardi has released three stand-alone singles, Press, Money, and Please Me, but has yet to announce her sophomore album.
Last year during an Instagram Live chat, the Best Life rapper joked that she was thinking of naming her next record Tiger Woods due to the hate she received over her success.
''I think I'm going to call it Tiger Woods because, remember when everybody was talking shit on Tiger Woods, like Oh blah blah, blah blah this, blah blah that, and then he f**king came and won that green jacket?''
