"Song Ji Hyo has confirmed her appearance in TVING's original series ‘Come to the Witch's Restaurant’," her agency Creative Group said on February 2.
‘Come to the Witch's Restaurant’ is a drama based on the novel of the same name by writer Gu Sang Hee, who won the grand prize of the '3rd Kyobo Bookstore Story Contest'. It is a fantasy drama in which witches and part-timers will work together in a restaurant to listen to the stories of guests, and grant their wishes, but not to anyone, and the guests must pay a corresponding price.
Song Ji Hyo plays the role of Jo Hee Ra, the owner of a restaurant that sells food that fulfills customers' wishes. Other than her name, she is a mysterious figure who has no identity, her age is unknown, and has a strange expression and cold personality, but she will attract viewers' attention as with her beautiful yet chilling visual.
Song Ji Hyo has been active in various genres such as movies, dramas, and broadcasting, and has firmly established her position as the choice of the public, loved by men and women of all ages. In particular, she played a cold-faced character in last year's movie 'The Intruder', as well as the confident and self-reliant super mom character in JTBC's drama 'Was It Love?'. Therefore, her new role as a cold restaurant owner is raising expectations.
‘Come to the Witch's Restaurant’ is an 8-part series and will be broadcast on TVING in 2021.
