2 companies - W Story and Energy Jedic - will jointly plan and produce the first boy love (BL) web drama in the Korean Wave, named 'Before Your Eyes Stop'.
'Before Your Eyes Stop' (written by Shin Yoo, Hwang Da Seul, adapted/directed by Hwang Da Seul, and produced by W Story) depicts a heart-throbbing relationship between two boys in the midst of their 18-year-old youth.
The role of Tae Ju, who is the only heir to a big family and the Prince of Zata, will be played by Han Gi Chan from 'Produce X 101'. While the role of Tae Ju's friend and close-knit bodyguard Kuk, will be played by Jang Eui Soo, who has been known for his acting in 'Bad Papa' and 'He is Psychometric.'
In addition, Choi Gyu Ri, who starred in SUPER JUNIOR's 'Magic' and BTOB's 'Dear Bride,' will play Hye Mi, an outgoing, fresh high school girl who creates tension between the two boys.
The web-drama will be directed by Hwang Da Seul, a former film major at the Korea National University of Arts. He is a new director who has written the web drama "Love as Your Taste" and is recognized for his skills after he won the Catholic Film Festival's Excellence Award for his short film "Spring in Summer."
'Before Your Eyes Stop' with 10 minutes each episode, and a total of eight episode, will be released in Korea on May 22 through a dedicated app and the director's cut version of the drama will be released in theaters in June. In Japan, it will be available on the Rakuten website and will be released in more than 200 other countries.
