“Lovestruck in the City,” previously known as “City Couple’s Way of Love,” is a short-form romance drama that follows the realistic love lives of young people struggling to survive in the crowded city. It is being produced with multiple seasons in mind, and the first is titled “My Lovable Camera Thief” (literal translation). It stars Ji Chang Wook, Kim Ji Won, Kim Min Seok, So Ju Yeon, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Han Ji Eun.
My Lovable Camera Thief” will star Ji Chang Wook as Park Chae Won, an honest and overly passionate architect who loves the city streets. After a woman that he calls the “camera thief” steals his heart one summer night and then disappears, he is unable to get over her.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji Won will star in the drama as Lee Eun Oh, a freelance marketer who spontaneously decides to adopt a false identity in an unfamiliar place for fun. However, while posing as the free-spirited Yoon Sun Ah, who is wilder and more eccentric than Lee Eun Oh’s ordinary personality, she accidentally ends up falling in love with Park Chae Won.
On December 2, a source from “Lovestruck in the City” stated, “The drama will premiere on December 22 at 5 p.m. KST. Although we recently film again after our cast and crew all tested negative for COVID-19, we decided to adjust the schedule in order to ensure the safety of our set and a higher quality of production. We ask for viewers’ understanding on this issue and we will continue to put our cast and crew’s safety first and follow government guidelines on preventing transmission.”
On November 24, it was reported that a background actor (extra) on “Lovestruck in the City” had tested positive for COVID-19. Filming temporarily because a halt as all cast and crew members underwent testing for COVID-19.
“Lovestruck in the City” had previously planned to premiere on December 8.
In a new teaser for the drama, the characters share their different perspectives on love. Ji Chang Wook says wistfully, “I believed it was love,” while Kim Ji Won says, “I think I’ll never forget him as long as I live.” Kim Min Seok says insistently, “We were in love. We are in love,” while So Ju Yeon looks hesitant to answer. Han Ji Eun says, “All men are the same,” and Ryu Kyung Soo says, “How have you been?”
The producers of “City Couple’s Way of Love” commented, “Kim Ji Won, who is fully immersed in her character, is bringing the details of Lee Eun Oh’s diverse charms to life with her acting.
