“Start-Up” sets in South Korea’s fictional Silicon Valley named Sandbox, tells the story about people who want to start-up companies. It is written by Park Hye Ryun (“I Hear Your Voice“) and directed by Oh Choong Hwan (“Hotel Del Luna“), both previously worked together on “While You Were Sleeping.”
In the new teaser, it is seen that Seo Dal Mi (played by Suzy) showcased the outlook as a powerful businesswoman, having an impressive appearance with confident.
In the background, she shares her ambitious dream, “A CEO that will change the world". Meanwhile, Nam Do San (played by Nam Joo Hyuk) flexes his wrists as he is getting himself ready for his coding work. He states, “A developer who makes the impossible possible.” Together, Seo Dal Mi and Nam Do San say, "That’s me."
Then, the background quickly changes back to their real lives. Seo Dal Mi is no longer the successful role of modern woman but just a normal girl practicing her presentation alone in her room, wearing her pajamas.
Meanwhile, Nam Do San repetitively hits his computer after an error message pops up. Nonetheless, the two youths are maturing in their own ways. They ask, “Why wouldn’t we be able to do it?”
Each respectively dreaming of becoming a CEO and a successful developer in the future, which means that Seo Dal Mi and Nam Do San will have to take on the challenge of creating a startup company to achieve their dream, as well as developing a romance story along the way.
