John Wick is coming back on the way when Lionsgate officially announces they are developing for John Wick 5 and starts shooting back-to-back with the fourth movie of the franchise this year.
Now we can comfortably wait for another thrilling journey of Mr.Wick to take place.
The first movie came out back in 2014 with Keanu Reeves receiving huge praise for his incredible acting in action scenes in such a simple but effective story plot. The film was a hit at the box office with grossing $86 million worldwide despite the production budget of $20 million.
Following the spawning success, John Wick: Chapter 2 continued hitting theaters in 2017 and the third movie was out last year. It is clearly seen that each installment is a bigger hit than the previous one.
John Wick 4 was originally set hit theaters in 2021 but due to the ongoing situations of coronavirus pandemic, the movie premiere decided to put at a pause to 2022.
CEO John Feltheimer of Lionsgate said the studio is aiming for production to take place "early next year."
"We’re also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theaters Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year."
As the film industry seems to start reopening after being shut down, holding on with established properties that are surely safe at the box office is a logical way to go in the future. Unless the fourth sequel was produced in poor quality and the audience doesn't seem to be fond of the action-thriller scenes, part five of the movie will follow in an accurate path to ba another superhit at the box office.
