Model and new mom Ashley Graham will make her return to the fashion runway from isolation as part of a star-studded live stream event for COVID-19 relief.
The beauty, who welcomed her first child, son Isaac, in January (2020), will join Kim Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, Karlie Kloss, Irina Shayk, Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, Amber Valletta, Winnie Harlow, Karen Elson, and Alessandra Ambrosio in the line-up for Fashion Unites, a 30-minute special set to stream worldwide on YouTube on Friday (May 1, 2020).
The show, created by CR Fashion Book founder Carine Roitfeld and directed by Fabien Constant, will feature the models filming themselves as they wear creations from their own wardrobes, while designers Diane von Furstenberg, Virgil Abloh, and Alexander Wang will also be making appearances with tributes and messages of gratitude for essential workers.
Fashion Unites will be staged in partnership with officials from amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, to raise money for their newly-established amfAR Fund Against COVID-19, supporting expert studies into treatments and vaccines.
In a statement, Roitfeld says, “Embracing fashion as the creative expression through which to support the health and safety of our global communities, we hope this show can offer a small moment of hope, inspiration and uplifting connection for those who are doing their part to self-isolate. A modest contribution as our world unites to collectively weather the storm of this pandemic together.”
Author and TV personality Derek Blasberg, the head of YouTube Fashion and Beauty, will serve as the host of Fashion Unites crrunwayxamfar.org, which will stream from 4 pm ET.
