According to YG Entertainment on January 14, TREASURE will perform on stage two songs, 'MY TREASURE' and 'GOING CRAZY', on Mnet's 'M Countdown', which will air from 6 PM KST on the same day.
This is the boys' first appearance on 'M Countdown' since their debut, but it seems to mean more than just a comeback stage. This is because it is also the first time in about 4 years and two months that an artist from YG Entertainment appear on 'M Countdown', since BLACKPINK in November 2016.
YG Entertainment has been refusing to let their artists appear on Mnet for years, but that began to change as TREASURE appeared at the '2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards' ('2020 MAMA').
Expectations have been rising among global fans that "we can now see YG artists on Mnet." As TREASURE's appearance in 'M Countdown' was decided, K-Pop fans hope that they will soon see other groups from YG Entertainment on Mnet's show.
YG said, "As 'MY TREASURE' is a song with a positive message to overcome difficult times and cheer up everyone, we want to convey our sincerity through as many music broadcasts as possible."
"TREASURE will also appear on MBC 'Music Core' on Saturday (January 16) and SBS 'Inkigayo' on Sunday (January 17), following 'M Countdown'," they shared. "We will start a full-scale promotion for their first full-length album that we have prepared for a long time. Please look forward to it."
