On the evening of August 18, the cast of ENA’s K-Drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo held a special event for the drama’s last episode.
The cast of the show attended the event, which was a special live screening of the drama’s last episode at a CGV movie theatre in Yongsan, Seoul. The event brought fans and the cast of the drama together to watch the last episode.
Fan favorite castmates such as Kang Tae Oh, Kang Ki Young, Ha Yoon Kyung, Joo Jong Hyuk, and Jun Bae Soo attended. Of course, leading lady Park Eun Bin was also in attendance.
Fans were elated to see both Kang Tae Oh, who will soon be enlisting in the military, and Kang Ki Young, who had recently been infected with the COVID-19 virus.
The lady of the hour, however, was Park Eun Bin. The actress wore an all-white ensemble to the event. The actress greeted fans by signaling them with hearts and posing in Woo Young Woo’s signature pose.
Park Eun Bin also didn’t forget to thank fans for their incredible support throughout the drama’s extraordinary run.
I am so happy to be able to watch the last episode with the fans who love Woo Young Woo. I would like to sincerely thank you for your love. Thank you.
— Park Eun Bin
The little-known drama from a little-known broadcast station would go on, through strictly word-of-mouth, to become one of K-Drama’s greatest Cinderella stories. The drama, which started with a first-episode viewership rating of 0.8%, ended its historic run with the last episode rating of 17.5%.
The drama is widely credited for bringing awareness to developmental disabilities internationally. Hundreds of debates were made throughout the drama’s run, and although very rarely did audiences agree unanimously, it is impossible to deny the impact the drama has had on Korea’s societal attitudes towards developmental disabilities.
For example, through debates surrounding the drama, Koreans were stunned to learn that in Florida, an attorney who is on the autism spectrum actually exists, giving hope to thousands of autistic children and their parents.
Although the drama has ended, surely fans will never forget the drama and its extraordinary stories of hope, love, and friendship.
Season 2 of the drama is currently under discussion. Although the drama’s production company’s CEO stated there would be a season 2, the production team stated no decisions have been made.
