DAY6 Confirms Comeback Date On April 19 With New Album 'The Book Of Us'
JYP Entertainment uploaded a poster image announcing DAY6's comeback on their various SNS channels at midnight on March 29 and delivered good news to fans around the world.
The comeback poster stimulated curiosity by featuring silhouettes of the five members, as if they were standing in the dark sunset. DAY6's album series name 'The Book of Us', which has been led by DAY6 since 2019, and the phrase 'DAY6 COMEBACK 2021.04.19 6PM (KST)' are written in the post, officially confirming the comeback date on April 19.
With this comeback, DAY6 will release a new album about a year after the song 'Zombie', which was released on May 11 last year.
This new album, in particular, is the fourth installment of the 'The Book of Us' series, following the fifth mini-album 'The Book of Us: Gravity' in July 2019, the third full-length album 'The Book of Us: Entropy' in October, and the sixth mini-album 'The Book of Us: The Demon' in May 2020.
In the 'The Book of Us' series, the band created title tracks that each showed their distinct musical colors and presence, such as 'Time Of Our Life', 'Sweet Chaos' and 'Zombie'. More attention is being paid to the 2021 new title track that will take over the masterpiece baton that has been going on for about two years.
Earlier, DAY6 leader Sungjin joined the military on March 8 and said goodbye to My Day (their fandom name). Through V LIVE, he said, "I've finished preparing for DAY6's new album," signaling an album that was fully completed and soothing the hearts of fans who were disappointed by the enlistment.
The new album will be released at 6 PM KST on April 19. Teaser contents will be released sequentially to heat up the comeback for fans who have been looking forward to the full group.
