BTS Dynamite has been selected as one of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs in History!

BTS Dynamite listed as one of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs in History

"Dynamite" ranked at #346 on Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" list, released on September 15 (local time).

Rolling Stone also introduced "Dynamite" as BTS' first fully recorded English single which was released by BTS last August 2020.

Right after its release, it immediately entered Billboard's "Hot 100" chart and it topped several charts three times.

For the first time in history, a Korean act has been included in the "500 Greatest Songs in History" list. The list has been recognized for the first time in 17 years since 2004. A survey has been conducted with over 250 industry experts along with singers, producers, critics, and journalists.

And for the first time in history, a K-pop group made the cut.

BTS as Special Presidential Envoys for the 76th session of UN General Assembly

Meanwhile, BTS will be at the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York as President Moon Jae-in's special envoy.

President Moon Jae-in presented the BTS members with certificates that appointed the septet as special presidential envoys for future generations and culture in a ceremony at the Blue House on September 14.

The Blue House stated that as special presidential envoys, the group is expected to expand communication and understanding with future generations all over the world.

The ceremony has been attended by the members along with Shin Young-Jae, Big Hit Music CEO; Lee Jin-Hyung, an executive from HYBE; Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong; Suh Hoon, National Security Office Director; You Young-min, presidential chief of staff, and other Blue House officials.

BTS will officially start their outreach activities by attending the annual UN General Assembly session in New York starting next week.

Aside from that, BTS members will also return to the United Nations' podium to deliver a speech during the second Sustainable Development Goals event which will be held on September 20.

The group will also present a pre-recorded performance during the SGDs.

BTS confirms upcoming online concert

On September 15, BTS announced through Weverse and their official SNS that they will be holding a concert, titled "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE" on October 24. It will be held online through live streaming.

Together with the announcement of the concert, the main poster of "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE" was also released. The poster contains the title and date of the performance, and BTS appeared standing between the lights and speakers. The septet raised the fans' expectations for the concert with their unique outfits and different expressions.
