BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE Top Overall Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings In January
The Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation analyzed the brand reputation index of idol groups from December 23, 2020 to January 23, 2021 and a total brand reputation index of 163,832,057 was recorded. Compared to December 2020, the figure increased by 13.78%.
For January 2021, BTS continues to sit on the throne with a brand reputation index of 15,664,084. Compared to last month, the figure fell by 17.44%. High-ranking phrases in the group's keyword analysis included "Golden Disc", "Billboard", and "TikTok" while his highest-ranking related terms included "breakthrough", "win", and "award". Their positivity-negativity analysis showed a score of 85.02% positive reactions.
At the 2nd place, BLACKPINK has a brand reputation index of 11,865,603. Compared to last month, the index rose by 41.23%.
Finishing the top 3, TWICE has a brand reputation index of 9,248,874. Compared to December, the figure rose by 62.94%.
Koo Chang Hwan, director of the Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation, said, "The positivity-negativity analysis of all idol groups rose 2.48%, from 60.55% in December to 63.03% in January."
