Yoo Jae Suk has donated 50 million won to help support low-income female teenagers who need to buy feminine products such as sanitary pads.
"Women and teenagers in the welfare blind spots still need a lot of sanitary pads support," said Park Chung Kwan, head of the foundation. "I thank Yoo Jae Suk for donating to help female teenagers grow healthy."
Donations will be delivered as sanitary pad kits to low-income female teenagers through the foundation. A sanitary pad kit will contain sanitary pads, feminine hygiene products and pouches, which are sufficient for 6 months'use, as well as handwritten letters with cheering messages.
Yoo Jae Seok, an angel in the entertainment industry who has continued his steady charitable activities, has been contributing to help people in need, including low-income single mothers and the COVID-19 sufferers.
The foundation is an international development cooperation NGO approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016, and is carrying out active projects such as education support and health and medical projects for developing countries, including projects to support children and youth in South Korea and projects to support senior citizens living alone.
