The new upcoming film Space Sweepers will be postponing their release due to the concerns of COVID-19.
On June 12, a representative of the film shared, “Although this film was scheduled to premiere in summer, we will be postponing the release due to the effects of COVID-19. We are preparing with the goal of a Chuseok (Korean equivalent of Thanksgiving) premiere, maybe from September 30th to October 2nd”.
“Space Sweepers” is the film that is set in the year 2092 and follows the crew of a space junk collector ship called The Victory. When they discover a humanoid robot named Dorothy that’s known to be a weapon of mass destruction, they get involved in a risky business deal.
The upcoming film is helmed by director Jo Sung Hee, who directed the famous film “A Werewolf Boy” and “Phantom Detective.”
