So Ji Sub has made a meaningful donation for 100 million won to help underprivileged neighbors ahead of Chuseok.
"So Ji Sub donated 100 million won to help underprivileged neighbors ahead of Chuseok," said Good Neighbors, an international relief and development NGO.
The donation will be used to support food kits, Corona 19 preventive hygiene products, and winter supplies so that elderly people living alone in welfare blind spots can have a warm holiday.
Earlier this year, the actor donated a total of 350 million won to Good Neighbors for the vulnerable who suffered from Corona 19. In March, with So Ji-sub's sharing, 2,000 children from low-income families were provided with daily necessities kits, and 5,820 medical protection suits were also delivered to medical staff in Daegu. In addition, it provided smart devices to a total of 145 underprivileged children in April.
The actor's good influence has continued since 2006 when he started helping the victims of heavy rain. It has continued to support Good Neighbors' project to support abused children and low-income girls in Korea. In 2017, it was also listed in the "The Neighbors Club," a special Good Neighbors membership group that targets members who sponsor more than 10 million won a year.
Hwang Sung Joo, head of Good Neighbors Sharing Marketing Division, said, "In particular, So Ji Sub's good influence will be conveyed with great comfort and hope to vulnerable people who are having a harder time this year," adding, "Good Neighbors will take the lead in supporting underprivileged neighbors and children in crisis families around us, who have been suffering from recent heavy rains and typhoon damage."
