The singer and actor donated 5.4 billion KRW (~ $4.1 million USD) he received from the label, and his past statements on the variety show 'Circle House' have caught attention once again. On an episode that aired in March, he expressed, "I grew up in an ordinary middle class household. I may have earned less than what people around me think, but I now have a much higher income than the general public. I've always wondered if I'd be happy if I make a lot of money, and I still do."
Lee Seung Gi continued, "When I talk to people who have a lot of money around me, they also say, 'I'm happiest when I chat with good people while eating delicious food.' Listening to such stories, what is certain is that money can prevent misfortune, but it does not make you happy. I really want to say this."
