Global short video application TikTok will hold an on-tact concert called 'TikTok Stage Voice On' to encourage fans to stay at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The concert will be held without audience and will be broadcast live around the world through the @tiktok_stage account from 8 PM KST on September 25, and anyone with the TikTok app can watch it for free.
TVXQ, AB6IX, MCND, TOO, WayV, Kim Woo Seok, Lovelyz, and ELRIS have confirmed their appearances and will meet K-pop fans around the world through the show.
'TikTok Stage Voice On' has also organized a challenge to give fans a sense of realism and a special experience beyond the limits of on-tact performances. If you use the "duet" function in the TikTok app and sing along to a set video and upload it with the hashtags #TikTokStage VoiceOn to cheer for your favorite singer, you can feel as if you are at the concert site.
The challenge will run from September 16 until 8 PM KST on September 25, the day of the performance, and the duet videos can be found on the @tiktok_stage account.
If you participate in the challenge, you will not only have good memories with your idols, but also help donate for artists suffering from COVID-19. TikTok will donate up to 50 million won - three dollars per video of participants in the global challenge - to the Korea Artists Welfare Foundation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
TikTok Stage is the first vertical live concert to be introduced in South Korea, drawing attention as a new concept of on-tact performance that can be enjoyed safely without the burden of face-to-face contact and space constraints during the COVID-19 crisis .
