Back in July, 2020 it was announced that Mnet would be accepting audition tapes for the ninth season of the much anticipated hip hop survival show Show Me The Money.
Applications were accepted until August 21, 2020 via email, through the official website and Instagram. Any artist is passionate about rap, whether amateur or professional was encouraged to apply.
Having completed 8 successful runs of the show, fans are overly excited about the 9th season, especially after the incredible lineup of producers was announced. The 9th season is set to showcase a new and unique competition format but will retain the same diverse cast of producers. The major difference will be in the final prize. The show's winner will receive the title of "Young Boss" who stands as the new force to be reckoned with in the hip hop scene.
Besides the usual prize money, the artist will also receive a considerable investment in their artistic endeavors, be it concerts, album production, marketing, or other business ventures.
A teaser was announced on Mnet's official Youtube channel, which only fanned the ambers of excitement. This season consists of 4 producing teams: Zion.T & Giriboy, CODE KUNST & Paloalto, Dynamic Duo & BewhY, and JUSTHIS & GROOVYROOM.
Following this, a 'Producers' Cypher' was also released, introducing the producers as they showcase their distinctive rapping styles.
As the airing date for the highly anticipated show comes closer and closer, fans are getting more and more eager to know about the contestants. In another teaser released on October 7, 2020, by Mnet, a glimpse of the producer teams and certain contestants that are sure to raise expectations and amp up the excitement for this new season. Stray Kids Changbin, Geeks' Lil Boi, and Swings are some of the contestants that are clearly shown on screen. Fans of Stray Kids are absolutely pumped about this participation, and they already know who they're rooting for. It will be fascinating to see how things turn out, whether in his favor or not.
