Nicole has filed for separation from the 55-year-old rapper at the Los Angeles County Court on Monday, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young, got married to Nicole in 1996 and they share two children together, 23-year-old son Truice and 19-year-old daughter Truly. The pair did not sign a prenup before getting married and Nicole is asked for spousal support, according to a close source.
The rapper is approximately worth an $800million (£650m), according to Forbes magazine. Nicole, who was previously married to Sedale Threatt, NBA player, is being represented in the divorce by celeb attorney, Samantha Spector, as the publication claimed.
Nicole spoke highly of Dre in the Netflix document series called "The Defiant Ones", which follows the artist’s partnership with producer Jim Iovine. Dre last shared a photo of him and Nicole on his Instagram account in September 2018, posting a snap of them looked happy together. The rapper then captioned: "Was just an average Tuesday."
