Girl group DIA is making their comeback after a year, but members Jung Chaeyeon and Somyi will not participate in the album.
According to StarNews on May 30, Jung Chaeyeon and Somyi did not participate in DIA's sixth mini-album 'Flower 4 Seasons'. As such, only five members - Eunice, HuiHyeon, Yebin, Eunchae and JuEun - participated in the comeback album and will do promotion activities.
DIA will release their sixth mini-album on June 10. As it is the first comeback in about a year since 'NEWTRO' released last year, attention is focused on how the absence of the two will affect the gathering of the girls.
Chaeyeon made her debut in the K-pop scene in 2015 as a member of girl group DIA in 2015. After temporarily leaving the team with HuiHyeon in 2016, she appeared on Mnet's 'Produce 101' and was among the final 11 contestants. She then served as a member of girl group I.O.I. After the I.O.I contract expired, she returned to DIA.
Meanwhile, Somyi was a member who joined the team during DIA's second full-length album 'YOLO' and also appeared on KBS 2TV's idol rebooting project 'The Unit'.
