The Recording Academy of the United States, which organizes the Grammy Awards, has announced on March 8 the entire performer lineup of the '63rd Grammy Awards', to be held on March 15 (local time).
The lineup included BTS, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Lil Baby , Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.
Citing the lyrics of BTS's 'Dynamite' on SNS, the Recording Academy said, "It’s going to be dynamite! Watch BTS bring the fire and set the night alight at the #GRAMMYs," adding, "You don’t want miss their performance."
This is the first time a Korean artist will perform as a formal candidate at the Grammy Awards. BTS also performed at the 62nd Grammy Awards in Los Angeles in January last year, but they were not included in the nomination. At that time, BTS set up the "Old Town Road All Stars" stage with rapper Lil Nas X and country star Billy Ray Cyrus.
On the other hand, some predict that BTS will be the sole performer at this year's awards ceremony, as it has been nominated.
BTS is nominated for this year's Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit song 'Dynamite', which topped the Billboard singles chart Hot 100.
Suga said in September last year, "We had a collaboration stage at the Grammy, and I think I want to perform BTS's solo stage this time," adding, "I want to stand on the Grammy stage and sing BTS songs."
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BTS' stage is expected to be filmed in South Korea.
This year's Grammy Awards will be broadcast by CBS and others from 10 AM KST on March 15.
