Chadwick Boseman has passed away at the age of 43 after four years fighting colon cancer. Family and friends are expressing their grief over the sudden departure of the 'Black Panther' star.
International media outlets today simultaneously reported that actor Chadwick Boseman took his last breath on August 28 at his home in Los Angeles, USA after a long time fighting colon cancer.
Nicki Fioravante - Boseman's representative - revealed that the actor was with his wife and family. He was diagnosed with cancer four years ago. Chadwick was fighting like a hero and he is "a true fighter".
According to the star's family, as for the projects that Boseman has been involved in over the past four years, he was working while having multiple surgeries and chemotherapy. "Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much," his family said.
On Twitter, fans shared their grief over the movie star's departure.
In May, paparazzis recorded an image of Chadwick Boseman with a stick and a skinny body in the street. The Marvel Studios star's weak appearance worries the public.
At that time, few people knew that the mighty hero on the screen was fighting a terrible disease. For the past four years, Chadwick Boseman has completely kept his health under wraps.
Chadwick Boseman was born in 1976. He worked as a lecturer at the Schomburg Center's Junior Scholars program in New York (USA) before pursuing his acting career in 2008. In 2014, he started to draw attention through the films 'Draft Day' and 'Get on Up'.
The turning point in his film career came in the summer of 2016 when he played the superhero 'Black Panther' in 'Captain America: Civil War'. By the beginning of 2018, his character had his own movie. 'Black Panther' is the first work revolving around a black superhero from Marvel Studios.
After its debut, the film received enthusiastic responses from both critics and mass audiences. 'Black Panther' earned more than $1 billion globally.
Before the departure of Chadwick Boseman, Marvel Studios and director Ryan Coogler planned to make a sequel for the movie, 'Black Panther II'.
