Despite his passing away, actor Chadwick Boseman will still appear in the last movie scheduled to premiere later this year.
The sudden leave of young actor Chadwick Boseman still makes many people shocked. Although he died at a young age, he still left a legacy of highly-regarded cinematic works such as 42, Da 5 Bloods or especially the blockbuster Black Panther of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the near future, fans are still waiting for him in the last movie of his career called Ma Rainey's Black Bottom which will be released on Netflix.
Even after the death of Chadwick Boseman, Netflix postponed the event announcing the movie's launch. Until now, the online television system announced that the film will be released on December 18, along with some of the first images of the film.
Ma Rainey's Black Bottom is a film based on the play of the same name by author August Wilson. The film will have the acting of Chadwick Boseman along with the Oscar owner - actress Viola Davis. The film is set in Chicago in the 1920s when the jazz genre was very popular and will revolve around the stripping of black artists, and reflect the heavy racial problem of the time.
Actress Viola Davis shared with The New York Times about her filming experience with Chadwick Boseman: “A lot of actors think they are extremely important. An actor on Chadwick's level is often very arrogant: what they want, and what they don't want to do. But that's not true for Chadwick. He completely ignored his ego and aura to focus on playing the role of Levee in the movie".
After the image of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom was announced, netizens all over the world expressed their regret for the actor's death, and predicted that the film would win major awards.
Besides this movie, audiences will be seeing Chadwick Boseman again in the upcoming Marvel animated series called What If…?, In an episode when the character T'Challa becomes Star-Lord instead Black Panther.
Ma Rainey's Black Bottom will officially be aired on December 18, 2020.
