John Cena is seen to took on the role of Peacemaker - the character he described as "the nasty version of Captain America" - in "The Suicide Squad".
In the framework of DC Fandome online event, director and screenwriter James Gunn brought the audience the behind-the-scenes footage of The Suicide Squad. Accordingly, he confirmed the presence of a series of characters in blockbuster.
The stars in director David Ayer's 2016 film will return including Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Amanda Walker (Viola Davis), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney).
The new group of characters occupies an overwhelming number, with firstly is the Peacemaker performed by John Cena. The action star described it as "the annoying version of Captain America", while James Gunn revealed "Peacemaker wants to make peace at all costs, no matter how many people he has to kill".

Warner Bros. do not consider The Suicide Squad a post-story, but as a light reboot of the franchise. The recording was completed before the Covid-19 translation broke out. James Gunn said post-production is still going on schedule, and the film will be released to audiences from August 6, 2021.
