ANNIE HALL
The original film was about Alvy (Woody Allen) told a story through a narrative perspective. Annie (Diane Keaton) was set to appear in just a third of the movie. Then, Allen realized that the film should focus on Alvy and Annie's love story, which was believed to be complicated and have more twists to display.
BLADE RUNNER
The ending of Ridley Scott's adaption of the classic novel named Do Androids Dream of Electric was an ambiguous conclusion. Instead of giving audiences a twist ending, Rachel was found out to live when she and Deckard drive away together. Another Hollywood life would be happily ever after for the couple.
GODFATHER III

DAWN OF THE DEAD
In the original ending of the horror classic, both Peter (Ken Foree) and Fran (Gaylen Ross) decided to end their own lives by sticking her head into whirring helicopter blades. However, this scene was cut off with the director allowed both of them successfully escaped by the helicopter.
BACK TO THE FUTURE
The rising actor Eric Stoltz was originally cast for the role of Marty McFly in Back to the Future. However, director Robert Zemeckis realized that Stoltz wasn't suitable to play a comedic character. He then decided to fire Eric and hire Michael J. Fox to play.
JAWS
Stephen Spielberg was a young man when he directed the Jaws movie in 1974. He went to use a mechanical shark instead of a real one in the film but the result was a disappointment that he had to make the movie with less of shark scenes.

I AM LEGEND
In the original ending of the movie, Robert (Will Smith) is trapped in the basement surrounded by a group of vampires, but they are actually kind and trying to rescue their friend.
However, the film then was rewritten and the ending turned out to be like every other vampire movies, with the vampires as mindless enemies.
DAREDEVIL
After the 20th Century Fox wanted Daredevil to be released with a PG-13 rating, director Mark Steven Johnson needed to chop almost 30 minutes from the final cut. The edits also took a lot of the intriguing darkness and character out of the movie.
BATMAN FOREVER
Before Christopher Nolan revitalized the franchise with his Dark Knight movies, Joel Schumacher and the company had to ruin it first. Even director Tim Burton exited stage left when producers told him that they wanted to make the third Batman film a more family-friendly, light-hearted experience.
