The massive blaze that happened to London's Grenfell Tower claimed the lives of 72 people in 2017, after flammable cladding attached to the outside of the social housing block caught fire. More than 70 others were injured and 223 people escaped. It was the deadliest structural fire in the United Kingdom since the 1988 Piper Alpha disaster and the worst UK residential fire since the Second World War.

Adele has used her voice to support the survivors after the Grenfell tragedy and demanded that the government should take action to prevent such similar disasters again. The 'Someone like you' singer showed her respect when sharing a few words to those who lost their friends and family in the brutal fire.

"I want to send my love to all of you today, and let you know that I'm thinking of you, as I always do".

She continued: "Even though we're having to do this in the virtual world, online, on 2020 Zoom life as it is, it's still so important for us to mourn together and for us to remember that night and to reflect on that and also reflect on where we are now with that".

Adele also emphasized the importance of people's lives and how it is ironically measured at a high rate after they're gone, "celebrate the lives that were lived before they were sadly taken that night".

Also, Adele went on highly praising the members of the Grenfell community for supporting others to overcome the town's tragedy and during the Covid-19 pandemic.
