EXO-SC Sehun & Chanyeol's first full-length album "1 billion views" will be released on various music sites at 6PM KST on July 13th. The music video for the title track "1 Billion View" can also be seen simultaneously on YouTube and Naver TV SMTOWN channels.
In addition, EXO-SC not only participated in writing the lyrics for all the songs but also included three self-composed songs that they worked hard on following their first mini-album released last year. As a result, many people are looking forward to the music that will be released.
Here are the questions and answers from the two singers towards the upcoming comeback.
Q1. How do you feel about releasing a full-length album about a year after your first mini album?
SEHUN: I tried to make a great album as much as the fans have been waiting for me for a long time. As we worked hard on this album, I hope many people listen to it, sympathize with it, and love it.
Q2. What kind of the title song "1 Billion Views"? What's your point of appreciation?
CHANYEOL: '1 Billion View's is a disco hip-hop song with retro sentiments, and it compares the person's desire to see it so much to 1 Billion Views. As Internet streaming contents have become more diverse these days, the lyrics include frequently used words such as 'ASMR', '4K High Definition Cam', and 'Web Drama'. I'm sure our fans are familiar with these words. I think it'd be better to focus on them.
Q3. How would you describe your title song '1 Billion Views' in 10 letters?
CHANYEOL: Let's listen to it a billion times!
SEHUN: You don't get tired of hearing it a billion times? (laughs)
Q4. Following the last album of EXO-SC "What a life," both of you participated in writing the lyrics for all the songs in this album, and three self-composed songs were also included. How was it working on the song? Where did you get your inspiration?
SEHUN: I've been thinking a lot about my childhood to write lyrics. It was a good time to look back on my busy life, recalling my past experiences such as hard and happy moments.
CHANYEOL: I tend to think a lot of ideas on quiet nights when I'm lost in thought. I think the music works well during late-night hours.
Q5. The song "Telephone" was released in a surprise release, drawing much attention. What if I told you a behind-the-scene?
CHANYEOL: I wanted to surprise the fans waiting for our comeback. We used to like giving spoilers, and we thought it would be nice to throw out presents in a fun way, so we planned that kind of promotion. So-called no-pakku concept. We played "Telephone" in advance on a live broadcast. We revealed it out of the blue that we were going to officially announce it. But after listening to the song, I thought it was a surprise gift from fans who loved it. It was fun.
Q6. This album also contains both of your solo songs, what characteristics do you have? What would you say about each other's solo songs?
SEHUN: Chanyeol's solo song 'Nothin' is really easy to listen to. It's a highly complete song with good beats and addictive lyrics, so please listen to it a lot.
CHANYEOL: Sehun's solo song 'On Me' is a song that expresses himself well. Sehun's amazing performance is included in the track music video released, so if you watch it together, it will double the joy of listening to it will be enjoyed.
Q7. Gaeko of Dynamic Duo is also in charge of producing this album. How does it feel when EXO-SC and him to be together again? Is there any artist you want to work with?
SEHUN: Gaeko Hyung is the best rapper and producer in Korea, so it was an easy decision to work on music together. He has a lot to learn musically, and he's a great person.
CHANYEOL: We have a great chemistry with Gaeko. (Laughs) Thank you so much for participating in this album, 10CM, Penomeco, MOON, and so on. If I have a chance, I'd like to work with Post Malone.
Q8.Is there any goal you want to achieve with this album?
SEHUN: I hope more people will listen to our songs than our last album, rather than our grand goal.

SEHUN: Let's stay together until the end, brother!
CHANYEOL: Sehun, thank you for being with us in 2020. It's so nice to be able to enjoy music together!
