After a fierce battle between BTS Jimin, EXO Chanyeol and Kang Daniel, the 3rd FanPlus Final Awards earlier announced this year's "King of Kings".
The K-pop fandom community and platform FanPlus held its 3rd FanPlus Final Awards 2021. The voting period started on November 15 and ended on December 20.
For the "King of Kings" title, which aims to identify the best idol this year, those who were in the top 10 of FanPlus's "Hall of Fame" were nominated. The artists in this list are the idols who gathered the largest number of votes among all candidates till October.

The battle for the "King of Kings" title went on for a month and was undoubtedly intense, with the candidates all known the most popular idols in the K-pop scene. Nevertheless, the power of Jimin prevailed, and in the end, the "Filter" singer proudly topped the list with a total of 3.17 billion votes!
With this, Jimin firmly maintained his position as the most popular member of the top group, ranking first in various domestic and foreign polls including FanPlus, not to mention his unrivaled brand power where he ranked first for 35 consecutive months.
EXO's Chanyeol then clinched the second spot in the rankings of "King of Kings" after gaining 2.84 billion votes. The multitalented idol proved his unrelenting influence and power by winning a spot in the top 3, despite currently serving in the military.
Kang Daniel came third with 1.13 billion votes, flaunting his popularity as the "Nation's Pick."
The idol who rose into popularity as a Wanna One member maintained his fame even more as he debuted as a solo artist. He now runs his own entertainment company, KONNECT Entertainment.
BTS Jimin to Receives Mega-Sized LED Ads in 3 Countries in Commemoration of His 'King of Kings' Title
Aside from Jimin being hailed as the most popular idol in 2021, he will be rewarded with mega-sized LED ads in Times Square, Korea and Amsterdam.
First, a 60M large LED advertisement will be held at Incheon Airport in Korea for a month.
Then, a 408M super-large LED advertisements will be held at Ziggo dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the sacred place of the European K-POP concert tour for seven days.
Lastly, another advertisement filled with Jimin will also be held at Times Square in New York.
ARMYs (BTS fandom) celebrated the award through social media and wrote messages, "Our Jimin is the king of kings!" "It's so cool that you got more votes in a short time after your birthday," "Is 3.1 billion votes real?" and "Jimin is really popular."
Moreover, the hashtags #JiminBestIdol2021 also trended in the United States and South Korea, along with related trending keywords such as #CONGRATULATIONSJIMIN #BTSJIMIN #ParkJIMIN #JIMIN #JIMIN_OurPride_Our pride #KingofKings.
