AOA will not be appearing at the Wonder Woman Festival. Following the AOA’s leader Jimin’s departure from the group, the 4-member girl group AOA has announced that they will not be participating in the ‘Wonder Woman Festival 2020’.
On July 6, a source from FNC Entertainment shared, “AOA will not appear at the Wonder Woman Festival. We asked the organizers for their understanding.”
The Wonder Woman Festival is a music festival where speakers from various fields begin discussions about how to enjoy youth. The ‘Wonder Woman Festival 2020’ is scheduled for September 26 at Nanji Han River Park in Seoul.
AOA was also included in the lineup, but they will no longer be appearing, potentially due to the recent controversy over former member Jimin.
On July 3, former AOA member Mina took to Instagram to share multiple posts alleging that Jimin had bullied her for years during her time in the group. Mina later revealed that Jimin had visited her in person to talk things out and apologize following her posts, but even though she wrote that she had decided to accept Jimin’s apology, she added that she was unsure of whether it had been sincere.
In addition to apologizing to Mina in person, Jimin went on to share a public apology on Instagram on July 4, to which Mina responded with a now-deleted post.
On July 5, FNC Entertainment announced that Jimin had left AOA and would halt all of her activities in the entertainment industry.
