MANILA — Alex Gonzaga and Xian Lim are first-time co-stars in the romantic comedy “Love the Way U Lie,” about a clairvoyant woman who connects a grieving man to his late girlfriend.
As seen in the film’s teaser released on Friday, the man (Xian Lim) is convinced of the medium’s (Alex Gonzaga) ability by correctly identifying where the couple got engaged, with the help of the girlfriend’s ghost (Kylie Verzosa).The premise appears ripe for complications, as the lead characters are hinted to spend more and more time together, while the spirit remains unseen by her lover.Directed by RC delos Reyes and co-produced by Viva Films and TinCan, “Love the Way U Lie” is one of the entries competing in the first-ever Metro Manila Summer Film Festival, which is kicking off on April 11.
