The production team of the '2020 MAMA' ('2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards'), hosted by CJ ENM, decided not to showcase Wanna One's joint performance after careful discussion.

A CJ ENM official told Newsen on November 20 that, "We had discussions with Wanna One members' agencies on their joint stage at the '2020 MAMA', but after discussing it, we decided not to do so," adding, "We will always support Wanna One."

Earlier, the production team reportedly suggested to each agency that Wanna One members should gather in one place for the first time in a long time to perform at the '2020 MAMA', which global fans are highly interested in, although Wanna One members are actively working as soloists or members of their own group after the team's disbandment.

This raised a lot of fans' expectations, but as the group was revealed to be involved in the 'Produce 101' vote manipulation, where PD Ahn Joon Young eliminated Kang Dong Ho (NU'EST Baekho) in the 4th round of 'Produce 101' season 2 and messed with the rankings of several trainees, most fans think it's best to not have a reunion in any way.

CJ ENM will host the '2020 MAMA' ceremony on December 6. Starting off as Mnet's 'Video Music Awards' in 1999, the 'Mnet Asian Music Awards' marked its 12th anniversary this year.

This year's '2020 MAMA' will feature popular idol groups such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT, IZ*ONE, GOT7, MAMAMOO, MONSTA X, TXT, and TREASURE.
