After seven years together, Weki Meki has officially disbanded.

On August 16, Fantagio announced that Weki Meki’s activities as a group had ended as of August 8. The agency first revealed the group’s plans to disband back in June.
Fantagio also announced that while Ji Suyeon, Choi Yoojung, and Kim Doyeon were still in talks to renew their contracts, the other five members of the group—Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy—would be leaving the agency following the expiration of their contracts.
Fantagio’s full statement is as follows:
Hello.
This is Fantagio.First, we would like to sincerely thank all the fans who have loved and supported Weki Meki.
After a long and serious discussion with Weki Meki, who has received lots of love and support from their fans for the past seven years, it has been decided that they will end their official group activities as of August 8, 2024.
Additionally, we are currently in serious discussions with members Ji Suyeon, Choi Yoojung, and Kim Doyeon so that the artists can make the best choice for themselves, and after continuous discussions, Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy have wound up ending their exclusive contracts.
We would like to sincerely thank Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy, who shone brightly as members of Weki Meki, and although their group activities have come to an end, we will do our utmost to help them move forward in the future as well. We ask that you send lots of love and support to Elly, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy, who will be showing you even more activities and varied sides of themselves.
Once again, we and the Weki Meki members thank you for all the love and support you have sent them up until now, and we ask that you continue to give the Weki Meki members lots of interest and encouragement as they take the first steps of their second leap forward.

After debuting in August 2017, Weki Meki was inactive for several years following their comeback in November 2021. This past June, the group released a final digital single together ahead of their disbandment.
