The Korean version of WayV's title track 'Turn Back Time' from their first full-length album will be released today (June 18) as a surprise.
The Korean version of 'Turn Back Time' is set to be out on various music sites, including Flo, Melon, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music, KuGou Music, and Kuwo Music, at 6 PM KST on June 18, and the music video for the song can also be seen simultaneously on YouTube and Naver TV's SMTOWN channels.
In particular, 'Turn Back Time' is the title track of WayV's first full-length album 'Awaken The World' released on June 9. It is of the hip-hop genre with strong base and beat that seems to be racing. The lyrics containing WayV's ambition to move toward the world stage are newly recorded in Korean, which is expected to draw keen attention from local fans.
In addition, WayV's album topped the popularity chart of China's largest music site QQ Music, as well as the weekly charts of four big music platforms under Tencent Music: QQ Music, KuGou Music, KuWo Music and Quanmin K Ge. It is gaining global popularity, taking No.2 on Chinese Uni Music Chart, No.1 on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 21 regions around the world, and No.1 t on the Japanese music site AWA.
Meanwhile, WayV will appear on KBS2TV's 'Music Bank' on June 19 and MBC's 'Music Core' on June 20 to perform 'Turn Back Time'.
