On October 31, Saturday, Idol Chart released their survey ranking for the most popular idols of October. Keep on reading to see who made the top, their rankings, and the number of votes each male idol received.
Respondents could partake in the survey from October 23 to October 29. If the votes are equal, they will be ranked by their ranking score. If both the score and the votes are the same, the ranking is sorted by alphabetical order.
Soloist and former Wanna One member Kang Daniel ranked at number one with a ranking of 4.99 ranking score and a whopping 316,082 votes! Kang Daniel is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He first rose to fame after finishing first place on 'Produce 101 Season 2' and thus debuting as the center of Wanna One.
After a six-month hiatus, Kang Daniel set up his own entertainment agency called Konnect Entertainment and made his debut as a soloist. All of his extended plays have topped the Gaon Album Chart, proving his influence in the South Korean music industry.
The second place is trot singer Lim Young Woong with a 4.99 ranking score and 247,651 votes. Lim Young Woong is a South Korean trot singer, entertainer, and YouTuber. He first debuted in 2016 with the single 'Hate You'. He rose to stardom in 2020 after competing and winning on 'Mr. Trot', beating out 17,000 applicants.
Third place is BTS's main dancer and lead vocalist Jimin with a ranking score of 4.99 and 54,791 votes. Jimin is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer. In 2013, he debuted as a member of the Big Hit Entertainment boy group BTS. In 2018 and 2019, Jimin ranked as the most popular idol in South Korea in an annual survey conducted by Gallup Korea. 'The Guardian' selected as the seventeenth best boy group member in history.

Fourth place goes to another BTS member, V! V has a ranking score of 4.99 and garnered 41,394 votes. V is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. He debuted as BTS's lead dancer, sub vocalist, and visual in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. In 2016, he made his acting debut in the historical drama 'Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth'. In 2019, V was selected as the fourth most popular idol in South Korea in a survey conducted by Gallup Korea.
Trot singer Lee Chan Won ranked in fifth place with a 4.99 ranking score and 40,131 votes. He rose to fame in 2020 after appearing on Mnet's 'Mr. Trot'. He guested on 'Hidden Singer: Season 6' and made a cameo in the K-drama 'King Maker: The Change of Destiny'.
The fifth-place has the first female artist to make the list. Song Ga In ranked at fifth place with a score ranking of 4.99 and garnered 29,388 votes. Song Ga In is a South Korean female trot singer. She rose to fame in 2019 after her appearance on the show 'Miss Trot' and now often appears on 'Golden Oldies'.
Sixth place goes to BTS's maknae, main vocalist, lead dancer, sub rapper, and center - Jugnkook! Jungkook has a score ranking of 4.99 and garnered 20,298 votes. Jungkook is a South Korean singer and songwriter. In 2013, he debuted as a member of BTS under Big Hit Entertainment. In 2019, he was named as the third most popular idol in South Korea by Gallup Korea. He was the most-searched male K-pop idol on Google in 2019.

Seventh place goes to Young Tak with a score ranking of 4.98 and garnered 19,815 votes. He rose to fame in 2020 after finishing at second place on the reality show 'Mr. Trot'. He made his debut as an actor in 2020 as Cha Young Seok in the drama 'Kkondae Intern'.
Eighth place goes to Kim Ho Joong, another famous trot singer in South Korea. He has a score ranking of 4.99 and garnered 15,338 votes. the film 'My Paparotti' is said to be based on his life, after the trot singer appeared on Star King in 2009 and discussed growing up as a thug and joining gangs until his grandmother encouraged him to pursue singing. In 2020, he rose to fame as one of the seven finalists on 'Mr. Trot'.
Ninth place goes to BTS's 'Worldwide Handsome' Jin! Jin has a score ranking of 5.00 and garnered a score ranking of 12,251 votes. In 2013, he debuted as the sub vocalist and visual of BTS under Big Hit Entertainment. In 2019, he ranked as the 13th most popular idol in South Korea according to a survey by Gallup Korea.
