As BTS thrives around the world, they also become role models of many new K-Pop idols. Here, let's take a look at 4 of the young idols who have themselves admitted that their role model is Jungkook - the "golden maknae" of BTS.
1. ENHYPEN Jungwon
ENHYPEN was formed through the Mnet's reality show 'I-LAND' and in the last episode, Jungkook praised Jungwon, who was a trainee then.
In a later interview with Weverse magazine, Jungwon talked about Jungkook's comment. He also confessed that Jungkook is his role model.
"Some people are born with expressive faces, but that is not the case for me. So I practiced planning my expression in advance for each part. I believe that an idol should be good at everything. So I think the goal is doing everything well.
Jungkook is my role model because he was good at everything. Jungkook is very comfortable on stage. So I'm inspired by his relaxed expressions and strong emotions. Specifically, Jungkook has relaxed expressions in the 'Boy with Luv' performance. He has a strong vibe in the 'ON' performance as well as the solo performance 'My Time' from the recent concert," Jungwon shared.
However, Jungkook is not the only BTS member that Jungwon admires, because he also look to RM as his role model.
2. KINGDOM Arthur
In an interview, Arthur from rookie boy group KINGDOM revealed that he started dreaming of becoming an idol after going to KBS 'Gayo Daechukje' and watching the performances.
"After watching the performances of EXO, INFINITE and BTS, who have excellent performance skills, I thought about what it would be like to be on that stage," Arthur shared.
The young idol also revealed that both Jungkook and Jimin of BTS are his role models.
"Speaking of powerful dances, I love Jungkook's dance. For clearer and softer dances, I love Jimin's style. They have been and still are my role models for the past 6 years," said Arthur.
When asked if he had ever met his inspirations in real life, Arthur replied that he had met Jimin once and that he was so surprised that it led to an awkward moment.
"Once I went to the radio to work and while I was going to the toilet, I ran into BTS Jimin! I was shocked, but I knew I had to say hello and greet him. But what I said was 'Hello, this is BTS'," Arthur recalled.
3. ATEEZ Jongho
Jongho from ATEEZ is also a huge fan of Jungkook's performance skills, and that's why Jungkook is his role model.
Like Jungkook, Jongho is the "maknae" of his group. Jongho wants to show the charisma and maturity on stage like his role model.
4. OnlyOneOf Junji
In an interview, OnlyOneOf's Junji was asked if he has any role models and he said that his role model is Jungkook.
When asked why he loves Jungkook, Junji said that he has listened to many different styles of vocals and Jungkook's is the one that attracts him the most.
Junji was then asked to say something to Jungkook and he said that he wanted to meet his idol one day and that he's listened to a lot of Jungkook's cover videos.
