On January 31, the Korean Music Copyright Association (also known as KOMCA) released a list of regular members promoted in 2023 through its official website.
As of January 2023, about 47,000 lyricists and composers are registered as members. According to the association, based on the highest copyright fee among associate members, only 25 people are able to be promoted to be regular members per year.
The list of people promoted to regular members this year included many names credited to songs that swept domestic and foreign music charts, such as Jannabi's Choi Jung Hoon, MinGtion (Kim Min Ji), 24 (Seo Jeong Hoon), and Stray Kids's 3RACHA (Han, Bang Chan, and Changbin).
