The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from July 7 to August 7.
MBC’s “How Do You Play?” topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index or 6,615,801, marking a 61.98 percent increase in its score since July. High-ranking phrases in the show’s keyword analysis included “Yoo Jae Suk,” “WSG Wannabe,” and “MSG Wannabe,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “perform,” “make music,” and “cheer on.” The program’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 75.90 percent positive reactions.
MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”) rose to second place after enjoying a 74.73 percent increase in its brand reputation index since last month, bringing its total score for August to 6,446,333.
SBS’s “My Little Old Boy” held onto its spot at third place with a brand reputation index of 4,295,832, marking a 9.07 percent rise in its score since July.
Finally, SBS’s “Running Man” and TV Chosun’s “Call of the Country” rounded out the top five for August at fourth and fifth places respectively.
