The new boy group from C9 Entertainment, formerly known as C9ROOKIES, has confirmed their official team name ahead of their hot debut.

C9 Entertainment announced on April 1 that, "The official team name of our rookie boy group, which will be introduced for the first time in two years, has been confirmed as EPEX."
The name EPEX stands for "The gathering of eight youths reaches eight different zeniths". EPEX also released their group logo and leader film in addition to the official team name on their SNS at midnight on April 1.
EPEX is an ambitious next-generation K-Pop group under C9 Entertainment, which is managing Younha, Lee Seok Hoon, and CIX, and is a prepared global group that combines excellent skills, beautiful visuals, and versatile artistic sense as well as foreign language skills.
Starting with Keum Dong Hyun, who finished #8 on Mnet's survival show 'Produce X 101', eight members were introduced, including Baek Seung, Amin, MU, Yewang, Jeff, Wish, and Ayden, drawing enthusiastic responses from domestic and foreign fans.
