According to a staff on February 8, iKON will release a new album in early March. Responding to the news, an official from iKON's agency YG Entertainment revealed that, "iKON will start filming the music video for their new song this week. We will announce the date of the comeback later."
iKON has had more than a year of hiatus since their 3rd mini-album 'i DECIDE', released in February last year. Rumor has it that the members are working harder than ever, as the hiatus has been quite long.
Since iKON is set to appear on Mnet's survival show 'Kingdom', set to air in April, this comeback is expected to draw more attention from the music industry. iKON's appearance in 'Kingdom' came as YG Entertainment and Mnet recently reconciled after about four years.
iKON expressed their special love for fans, saying, "We will answer with good stages for the fans who waited silently."
A high-ranking YG official also hinted, "We will do our best to support iKON in presenting good music and stages rather than being hard on the competition and ranking."
Prior to this, iKON member Bobby was loved by his second solo album 'LUCKY MAN', which was released on January 25, ranking at the top of major music charts in South Korea and abroad. Following Bobby, who showed successful activities, expectations are high on what synergy the boys will show as a complete group.
